Bio

My name is Melvin J. Williams Jr. I am a New Orleans native who grew in love with music. I am a proud graduate of Joseph S. Clark Senior High School. I pride myself on diversity and being a well rounded instrumentalist. I attended Xavier University of New Orleans, University of Houston and became a graduate of International Bible Institute where I obtained my Bachelors in Biblical Studies and Music. Even though I consider myself a college grad I do understand knowledge is power but one thing I consider sometimes more important than teaching a child is reaching a child. If a child cannot obtain a sense of purpose and find a reason to be relevant they see no point to be educated. I believe taking interest in music helped me to stay alive and become a better version of myself. The band for me meant banding together. It became my safe haven where young people grew in harmony and like-mindedness. I realized that the band not only gives pride and joy but it is a place to call home. Building a band is building a life, building a band is saving a life, because band is life. We band together.

WHO WE ARE

RMC is a multi collaborative 501c3 Nonprofit Community Music Enrichment Program made up of a unified local community group. RMC consist of young musicians, dancers, mentors, positive nonviolent figures, motivators and educators. Our value pillars are founded on biblical principals. We strive to produce top tier performers in music arts and in life. Our programs are here to extend a quality music experience and offer opportunities to the general population. We raise awareness by messaging equality and promoting for any just cause.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to service young scholars by extracting their gifts, talents and helping them to become positive contributors to society. We educate and motivate scholars by the power of inclusion, comradeship and culture through music traditions. Revolution is associated with regional music and art programs. We are more than band, we band together by extending counsel, general aid, guidance and reassurance through life coaching. We believe music is therapy and serves as an aid to mental health solutions or reaching troubled youth to slow the rate of recidivism. Revolution is the solution.

OUR MISSION

Revolution Music Culture strives to provide a high quality musical experience through various disciplines. We promote excellence, enrich the community through collaborative efforts and shape positive contributors in society.
